PropertiesThe primary types of properties the Company invests in include office, retail, self-storage and residential properties located in the western United States. As of December 31, 2011, the Company owned or had an equity interest in ten commercial and office buildings (“Commercial/Office Properties”) which total approximately 690,000 rentable square feet, four retail shopping centers and a 7-Eleven property (“Retail Properties”) which total approximately 171,000 rentable square feet, Six self-storage facilities (“Self-Storage Properties”) which total approximately 585,000 rentable square feet, one 39 unit apartment building (“Residential Properties”).
